Nearly 20 years ago, Martijn started as the first clerk at a large estate agency in the centre of Amsterdam. He stumbled into it by accident, and before he knew it, he had his own estate agency in De Pijp in 2006. Since 2011, he has been happily associated with BrinkBorgh Makelaardij. His residential career in Amsterdam began after his studies in the Schinkelbuurt, in a building next to the neighbourhood cafe. As a single man, he lived on the ground floor with a good friend. After a few years, he moved to the top floor, without the friend but with a girlfriend. And still next to (and often in) the same cafe. Afterwards, they moved together to an apartment with a picturesque view of the canals in the Jordaan. They had a wonderful time in the historic city centre of Amsterdam. They started as a young family in the Rivierenbuurt near the Amstel, and have now been living in Haarlem for a few years already. In addition to selling and letting a great deal of real estate, he spends as much time as possible with his family. Occasionally, he enjoys a spot of sport on the padel court or goes for a run in the dunes. That keeps Martijn young and sharp.
